Cleaning a Shovelnose shark skeleton

Shovelnose shark skeleton

I received this beautiful Eastern Shovelnose shark last year, and after spending a period of time in the freezer, I decided to skeletonise it, and then hopefully sell.

I prepared it in the usual way I prepare my cartilaginous specimens and then decided to mount it on a beautiful piece of recycled Grey Gum, that I had stained in a dark colour.

The specimen is 1350mm total length and 490mm wide at the tips of the wings.

The wooden base is 1045mm in length

The specimen is being sold at AUD$5,400.00 plus the cost of postage and packaging. Best it is sent via a courier due to the fragility and the size of the specimen and base.
